The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Armenia held another round of bilateral political consultations on 2 April 2026, in Tbilisi. The Georgian delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lasha Darsalia, while the Armenian side was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan.
During the meeting, particular attention was devoted to current issues on the agenda of both bilateral and multilateral cooperation within the framework of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Armenia. The parties emphasized the ongoing dynamic of intensive interaction in trade and economic relations, transport, energy, tourism, culture, education and other sectors.
The consultations addressed ongoing processes in the South Caucasus region. In this context, the Georgian side once again reaffirmed its readiness to contribute to the promotion of peace, prosperity and stability in the region.
