On 7 April 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Georgia, Zhou Qian.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the situation in the regions and current developments. The importance of intensifying high-level visits between the two countries and the plans for the future were emphasized.
At the end of the meeting, Zhou Qian emphasized once again that the Chinese government’s unwaveringly support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within the internationally recognized borders.
