On 12 August 2025, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, the 72nd session of the Commission on Georgia’s Integration into the European Union was convened, with the participation of representatives from both the executive and legislative branches of government.
During the session, the Commission heard a report on the implementation of measures carried out in the field of Georgia’s EU integration during the reporting period. The report was prepared under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the involvement of all state agencies, the Parliament, and the judiciary. It presents legislative, institutional, and other activities undertaken within the framework of the implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement, and also contains relevant statistical data disaggregated by sector.
At the meeting on 12 August, the Commission also approved a set of significant measures planned for the future in the context of Georgia’s EU integration process.

The Government Commission on Georgia’s Integration into the European Union is the highest decision-making body on matters of EU integration. Its mandate is to oversee Georgia’s EU integration process, including the fulfilment of commitments undertaken before the European Union. The Commission reviews the progress achieved by Georgia on its path towards EU membership.
