On 19 May 2026, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Alexander Khvtisiashvili, participated in an event commemorating the 78th anniversary of the independence of the State of Israel and delivered remarks to the audience.
Alongside extending congratulations to the Jewish people on the occasion of their national holiday, Alexander Khvtisiashvili highlighted the longstanding relations, cooperation and strong partnership between Georgia and Israel. Against the backdrop of ongoing developments in the region, he conveyed his wishes for peace, stability and prosperity to the State of Israel and the friendly Jewish people.
