Lasha Darsalia Holds Bilateral Meetings on the Margins of the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference

On the margins of the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference (ASRC) in Vienna, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia held bilateral meetings with the Secretary General of the OSCE, Feridun Sinirlioğlu, the Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation and Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE, Ignazio Cassis, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of the United States, Sonata Coulter.

During the meetings with Feridun Sinirlioğlu and Ignazio Cassis, the parties discussed various areas of cooperation between Georgia and the OSCE, as well as the importance of the Geneva International Discussions format and the Organization’s engagement in the process of the peaceful resolution of the conflict. The parties positively assessed Georgia’s cooperation within the OSCE framework.

Particular attention was focused on the security environment in the region, ongoing challenges and ways to address them, as well as the importance of maintaining peace, stability and security in the region.

During the meeting with Sonata Coulter, the parties reviewed the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Georgia and the United States, the positive dynamics of the relationship, and prospects for its further development. They also discussed details related to the upcoming round of the Geneva International Discussions.

At the meetings, the participants once again reaffirmed their firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

As part of the visit, meetings were also held with the Permanent Representatives of Switzerland, Finland, the United Kingdom, Poland, Malta, the Netherlands, Turkmenistan and Montenegro to the OSCE, during which the parties exchanged views on topical issues on the Organization’s agenda.
