Maka Botchorishvili has met with the Ambassador-designate of Guatemala to Georgia

On 6 March 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala to Georgia, Eduardo Enrique Hernández Recinos, who is based in Ankara.

Minister Botchorishvili congratulated Ambassador Hernández Recinos on his appointment and wished him success in his future endeavors. During the meeting, both parties emphasized that Georgia views Guatemala as a key partner in Central America.

The discussion covered key aspects of bilateral relations, highlighting the longstanding fruitful cooperation between Georgia and Guatemala in both bilateral and multilateral formats. Particular attention was given to opportunities for deepening economic and tourism ties.

The meeting also addressed the grave situation in Georgia’s occupied territories. Minister Botchorishvili expressed gratitude to the Guatemalan side for its steadfast support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
