The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khatuna Totladze has paid a visit to Italy

From 23 to 27 April 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Khatuna Totladze paid a working visit to the Italian Republic’s region of Sicily.

Within the framework of the visit, a new consular office of Georgia was unveiled in Palermo, Sicily, as organized by the Honorary Consul. The event was attended by representatives of local government bodies. It was noted that the opening of the honorary consulate will contribute to further deepening of cooperation between Georgia and the region of Sicily, especially in such areas as people-to-people contacts, tourism, trade cooperation and cultural ties. Speaking before the audience, Honorary Consul Leonarda Amela highlighted the trade-economic and tourism potential of Georgia.

Within the framework of the working visit, Khatuna Totladze held meetings with the mayors of the cities of the Sicilian region, Palermo, Agrigento and Menfi.
