On 18 September 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Arief Muhammad Basalamah (resident in Kyiv).
The meeting addressed a wide range of current issues concerning bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation. The positive dynamics of cooperation between Georgia and Indonesia were underscored. Particular attention was devoted to the opportunities and future prospects for deepening cooperation in the fields of politics, trade and economy, tourism, culture, and people-to-people contacts. Developments and challenges unfolding in the wider region were also reviewed.
The Ambassador reaffirmed Indonesia’s steadfast support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed the hope that results-oriented cooperation between Georgia and Indonesia would continue successfully in the future.
