Within the framework of his visit to Berlin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs held a meeting
with the French Secretary of State for European Affairs, Laurence Boone.
The sides discussed the main aspects of partnership and friendly relations between the
two countries. The importance of strategic dialogue between Georgia and France was
emphasized. Discussions focused on the situation in the region and the security
environment.
The sides reviewed the European integration process of Georgia. Ilia Darchiashvili
spoke at length about Georgia’s progress on the implementation of the European
Commission’s recommendations and the results achieved in this regard.
Ilia Darchiashvili emphasized the importance of France's position in this process.
