Ilia Darchiashvili has held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Georgia

On 28 June 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Georgia, Maaike van Koldam.

The sides welcomed the Netherlands-Georgia close and friendly relations both at the bilateral level and within the international organizations. Special note was taken of the importance of the exchange of high-level visits, active dynamics of meetings and regular political dialogue. The potential for further deepening economic and sectoral cooperation, including in the area of investments was highlighted.

Ilia Darchiashvili emphasized the Georgian people’s expectations regarding the EU candidate status and expressed the hope for the support of the Netherlands.

The Minister thanked the ambassador for his service and wished her success in her future work.
