Maka Botchorishvili has met with the OSCE Secretary General

On 3 December, within the framework of the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Council meeting, Georgia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, met with the OSCE Secretary General, Feridun Sinirlioğlu.

Minister Botchorishvili discussed the Russia–Georgia conflict and and the grave security, human rights and humanitarian situation in the occupied regions. She emphasized the importance of OSCE engagement in the peaceful resolution of the conflict, noting in particular the significance of the Geneva International Discussions. The Minister also expressed gratitude to the Secretary General for the OSCE’s continued support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The parties reviewed challenges related to the country’s security and stability, highlighting the necessity of upholding the principles of international law to reinforce peace and stability in the region.

The meeting also addressed various areas of cooperation between Georgia and the OSCE.
