Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Croatia were established on February 1, 1993. In 2007-2010 Croatia was covered by the Embassy of Georgia to Greece. Embassy of Georgia to Hungary covers Croatia since 2010. Georgia is covered by the Embassy of Croatia to Greece.
Bilateral relations between Georgia and the Republic of Croatia are less intensive, but the two countries enjoy successful cooperation within international organizations.
Furthermore, four international agreements are signed between Georgia and Croatia. The agreements regulate relations between the Foreign Ministries as well as the cooperation in the fields of culture and economy.

On 13 June 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teimuraz Janjalia, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to Georgia (with residence in Baku), Branko Zebić.
The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, Gordan Grlić-Radman will pay a visit to Georgia from 8 to 11 February 2023. This is the first visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia to Georgia, which is being carried out as part of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
"We greatly appreciate Croatia’s position to support Georgia's accession to the EU and the willingness to share its experience with us," - the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili said during the joint press conference held within the framework of the Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radmanto’s visit to Georgia.
On 24 July 2023, within the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to the Republic of Croatia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili, met with his Croatian counterpart, Gordan Grlić Radman.
