On 3 June 2025, within the framework of its 79th session, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the resolution titled “Status of Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees from Abkhazia, Georgia and the Tskhinvali Region/South Ossetia, Georgia.” The resolution was initiated by Georgia and co-sponsored by 63 countries from various regions of the world. It received a record level of support, with 107 countries voting in favor.

On 3 June  2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Zurabashvili, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia, Vesselin Valkanov.

On 3 June 2025, within the framework of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Republic of Türkiye, Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, Berris Ekinci.

On 2 June 2025, a preparatory meeting for the 64th round of the Geneva International Discussions was held in Tbilisi with the participation of the Co-Chairs from the European Union, the United Nations, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). The meeting was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Georgian Delegation to the Geneva International Discussions Lasha Darsalia.

From 23 to 25 May 2025, a Georgian delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lasha Darsalia, paid a visit to the Republic of Ecuador to attend the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President, Daniel Noboa Azín.

On 28 May 2025, another round of bilateral political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Italian Republic was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.
